Italian Baked Meatballs

Yield: Serves 4


  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Instructions for Italian Baked Meatballs recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into 16 meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the meatballs from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each meatball.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the meatballs.
  8. Return the meatballs to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Dress it up by placing meatballs on a serving platter, and pour some extra marinara sauce on top. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil leaves.
