Instructions Homemade Lasagna recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the Parmesan cheese, eggs, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a small amount of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Arrange a single layer of lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Spread a thin layer of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, then sprinkle with a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layering with the remaining noodles, meat sauce, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top of the mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
