Rotisserie Chicken Recipe

Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 1 hour 30 minutes Total Time: 1 hour 45 minutes Serves: 4-6


  • 1 (3-4 pound) whole chicken
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions for Rotisserie Chicken recipe:

  1. Preheat your rotisserie oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get it under the skin as well.
  5. Secure the chicken onto the rotisserie spit and tie the legs together with kitchen twine.
  6. Place the chicken in the rotisserie oven and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  7. Carefully remove the chicken from the rotisserie spit and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

To dress it up, you can garnish the chicken with fresh herbs or lemon wedges.
