Here’s a recipe for Lisa’s Favorite Carne Asada Marinade:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs skirt or flank steak
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions for Lisa s Favorite Carne Asada Marinade recipe:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the steak to the marinade, making sure it’s fully coated.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan to high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess liquid drain off.
  6. Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the desired doneness is reached.
  7. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it against the grain into thin strips.

To dress it up, you can serve the Carne Asada with warm tortillas, chopped cilantro, sliced avocado, diced onion, and a wedge of lime on the side.
