Easy Italian Chicken
Preparation Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes Total Time: 40-45 minutes Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions for Easy Italian Chicken recipe:
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chicken broth, white wine, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese and cook until melted and well combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the chicken.
- Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Dress it up:
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil
- Serve with a side of roasted vegetables
- Add some lemon wedges
