Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs skirt or flank steak
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions for Lisa s Favorite Carne Asada Marinade recipe:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the steak to the marinade, making sure it’s fully coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess liquid drain off.
- Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the desired doneness is reached.
- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing it against the grain into thin strips.
To dress it up, you can serve the Carne Asada with warm tortillas, chopped cilantro, sliced avocado, diced onion, and a wedge of lime on the side.
