Tater Tot Casserole Recipe

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions for Tater Tot Casserole recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Add the beef mixture to the bowl and stir until well combined.
- Spread the tater tots in an even layer in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Pour the beef mixture over the tater tots, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
To dress it up:
- Add some chopped fresh parsley or chives on top before serving.
- You can also add some diced tomatoes or sliced jalapenos on top for a little extra flavor and color.
