<p>Manti is a traditional Armenian dish of meat-filled dumplings that is typically served with a yogurt-based sauce and garnished with herbs and spices.</p>



<p>Preparation time: 1 hour Cooking time: 30 minutes Total time: 1 hour 30 minutes</p>



<p>Yield: Serves 4</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Ingredients:</h3>



<ul>
<li>1 lb ground beef or lamb</li>



<li>1 onion, finely chopped</li>



<li>1/4 cup finely chopped parsley</li>



<li>1 tsp salt</li>



<li>1/4 tsp black pepper</li>



<li>1/4 tsp ground cumin</li>



<li>1/4 tsp ground coriander</li>



<li>1/4 tsp ground red pepper (optional)</li>



<li>2 cups all-purpose flour</li>



<li>1/2 cup warm water</li>



<li>1 cup plain yogurt</li>



<li>1/2 cup sour cream</li>



<li>1 tbsp finely chopped mint or dill</li>



<li>1 clove garlic, minced (optional)</li>
</ul>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Instructions for Manti Armenian Dumplings recipe:</h2>



<ol>
<li>In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, onion, parsley, salt, black pepper, cumin, coriander, and red pepper (if using).</li>



<li>In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and warm water until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.</li>



<li>Roll the dough out into a thin sheet and cut it into small squares. Place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center of each square.</li>



<li>Fold the dough over to form a triangular shape and press the edges to seal the dumplings.</li>



<li>Bring a large pot of water to a boil and carefully add the dumplings. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until they float to the surface.</li>



<li>In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt, sour cream, mint or dill, and minced garlic (if using).</li>



<li>Drain the dumplings and serve them hot with the yogurt sauce on top. Garnish with additional herbs and spices if desired.</li>
</ol>



<p>To make it beautiful, you can use dried mint, paprika, and sumac.</p>
