Manti is a traditional Armenian dish of meat-filled dumplings that is typically served with a yogurt-based sauce and garnished with herbs and spices.

Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp ground red pepper (optional)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp finely chopped mint or dill
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
Instructions for Manti Armenian Dumplings recipe:
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, onion, parsley, salt, black pepper, cumin, coriander, and red pepper (if using).
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour and warm water until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Roll the dough out into a thin sheet and cut it into small squares. Place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the dough over to form a triangular shape and press the edges to seal the dumplings.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and carefully add the dumplings. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt, sour cream, mint or dill, and minced garlic (if using).
- Drain the dumplings and serve them hot with the yogurt sauce on top. Garnish with additional herbs and spices if desired.
To make it beautiful, you can use dried mint, paprika, and sumac.
